Opportunities for social connection

extent to which we encourage interaction among the citizenry and the degree to which we trust and associate with each other in caring communities is probably one of the most important determinants of health’ (Lomas 1998, p. 1181 cited in Whiteford et al. 2005).

1. increase participation in physical activity
2. increase opportunities for social connection
3. reduce race-based discrimination and promote diversity
4. prevent violence against women by increasing participation in respectful relationships
5. build knowledge to increase access to economic resources./.../
