From the HEARTBEAT WHF Bulletin

Fulfilling the asks of the United Nations Political Declaration on non-communicable diseases
In May of this year, a global target to reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) 25 per cent by 2025 was adopted by the World Health Organization. Now, Member States need to agree on a global monitoring framework to achieve this ambitious goal which will include, should Member States approve, additional targets and indicators.

World Heart Day 2012
World Heart Day offers the cardiovascular disease (CVD) community a platform to take action and help reduce the global disease burden. This year, World Heart Day will focus on women and children and raise awareness on the fact that all ages and population groups are affected by CVD. Discover the World Heart Day material and join us to celebrate on 29 September!
