Germans to lose Elsevier journals within weeks

Around 200 German universities will lose access to papers published by Elsevier, the world’s biggest publisher of scientific journals, within weeks. Negotiations have failed to end a long-term dispute over the cost of online access and the rights of authors to freely share their papers.
