Will the FDA’s New Tobacco Strategy Be a Game Changer?

It might be hard to imagine, but in 1965, 42.4% of US adults smoked. Those were the days when cigarette smoke wafted around offices, restaurants, bars, and retail establishments—smokers could light up pretty much any place they pleased. A half-century later, in 2015, the proportion of US adults who smoked had fallen to 15.1%, thanks in part to widespread smoking bans, higher taxes on cigarettes, and tobacco education campaigns./.../
