In 2020 Kevin Hartnett wrote for Quanta about Lean and the future of mathematics and computer-aided proofs. Lean has come a long way since 2020. Last month, a team of researchers released an algorithm that can automatically prove multiple mathematical theorems after using the Lean database as a training set. Gaia's Latest Look New data from the Gaia space observatory gives us the most in-depth look yet at our galaxy. The data includes the chemical makeup of over 60,000 asteroids and detailed maps of the dust between stars, reports Asa Stahl for Science News. Gaia’s previous Milky Way map was already helping to fill in some missing pieces about our galaxy. Não lembro onde nem quando, ela estava no deck de um barco, não sei se no Guaíba ou no exterior.

O importante é que estava feliz, e com seu sorriso esfuziante...

Hoje, 15 de junho, no ano passado, pelas 3 da madrugada ela nos deixou, aos 90 anos.

No dia 13/06/2022, dia do aniversário dela (estaria fazendo 91 anos), segunda feira, dia de Santo Antônio. O nome dela era Valderês Antonietta. Na Igreja do Pão dos Pobres,  foi celebrada uma missa para lembra-la.

Watch the biggest-ever comet spray dust across the cosmos (Gritsevich, et al. Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, Volume 513, Issue 2, June 2022, Pages 2201–2214, https://doi.org/10.1093/mnras/stac822) The dust trail from the largest comet outburst ever seen will grace the skies this summer — and it’s going to look like a giant hourglass. The night show will come courtesy of comet 17P/Holmes, which in October 2007 let off a huge flash of gas and dust, brightening by a factor of a million and briefly becoming the largest object in the solar system. Animals who drank caffeine-infused water for two weeks had changes in gene-activity patterns in many types of brain cell, leading to an overall decrease in the synthesis of proteins involved in metabolism and an increase in those involved in neuronal signalling and plasticity. After a learning task, the caffeinated mice exhibited a larger boost in the activity of genes involved in processes such as memory formation than did mice that hadn’t consumed caffeine. The ancient giant, an alerce (Fitzroya cupressoides) known as the "Gran Abuelo" (or great grandfather in Spanish) that towers over a ravine in the Chilean Andes, may be roughly 5,400 years old, a new computer model suggests.
