SAN ANTONIO -- Researchers have made tackling Clostridium difficile infection a key issue on the agenda here where more than 4,000 healthcare professionals are gathering for the annual meeting of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Studies set for presentation explore how C. difficile impacts antibiotic use, what strategies are necessary to combat high rates of C. difficile infections, and new research into treating the disease, which has grown from a nuisance to a common and deadly infection.
