A greater abundance of certain bacteria in the oral microbiome were associated with a decreased risk of head and neck squamous cell cancer (HNSCC) in several patient cohorts, according to investigators.
Specifically, Richard B. Hayes, DDS, PhD, NYU Langone Health, New York University School of Medicine, and colleagues found the association between a decreased risk of HNSCC and a greater abundance of genera Corynebacterium and Kingella./.../
