Weall get stuck in bad moods from time to time — from a lack of energy to inexplicable agitation to full-blown rage. What’s frustrating is that our best efforts to change the way we’re feeling can often backfire, kicking us into an even worse mood that lasts longer. This is why I typically hesitate to endorse emotional quick fixes or mood hacks — in most cases, the best way to get out of a bad mood is to walk straight through it with self-compassion and acceptance.
